JERSEY CITY, N.J. | 鶹ý (NJCU)’s alternate pathways to teaching plan, introduced in a campus-wide email on April 17, 2023 by Donna Adair Breault, Ph.D., Acting Provost and Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs, was detailed in an article by ROI-NJ, a statewide leading business publication.
The article, published on April 18, is entitled “How NJCU is helping outgoing faculty train to become high school teachers — for free” and discusses how the university is allowing faculty who will be retrenched as a result of the FY2023 financial crisis at NJCU to take its alternate pathways to teaching programs — tuition-free — a move that could help high schools as 鶹ý continues to face a teacher shortage.
