Dear NJCU Family,

The holiday season is a time to reflect on what has been and to look with hope toward what will be. It’s a time to honor the quiet grace of waiting and the hard-won glory of action. For many of us, it’s in the traditions we carry forward: the glow of candlelight, the rhythm of songs sung in joy, the comfort of meals shared with loved ones.

But this season also asks something deeper of us. It asks us to see one another—not as strangers, not as mere faces in a crowd, but as fellow travelers in this great and unpredictable journey. It asks us to honor the threads that bind us—the shared humanity that allows us to celebrate, to overcome, and to dream together.

So, this season, I ask you to pause for a moment. Look around. See the faces of those who have walked this path with you. Think of the hands you’ve held, the burdens you’ve shared, the laughter that has carried you through. This is NJCU. This is who we are.

Every day on our campus we are blessed to walk with people from all backgrounds and experiences who come together to form one common community with one common purpose. This holiday season, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you—students, faculty, staff, and our entire NJCU family and extended community. May this season bring you joy, peace, and reflection. Let’s celebrate our shared purpose—and each other. I celebrate and honor you and wish you all an abundance of love and peace.

From my family to yours, Feliz Navidad, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Kwanzaa, and warm wishes for a season filled with light, hope, and love. And to the NJCU community—thank you. Thank you for your courage, your faith, and your belief in the brighter future we are building together.

With affection and gratitude,

Interim President
