It started with a library visit. I was five. My father gave me a bag and a smile. "Get what you want, big girl."

I've loved stories, and wanted to write my own, ever since.

I wanted more stories about women that looked like me, the kind of women I would want to be friends with, who had stories that I could disappear into for hours at a time.
