CACREP Accreditation

Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP)

The Â鶹´«Ã½ Counseling Program, which houses both the Clinical Mental Health Counseling and the School Counseling Programs, received accreditation as of Spring 2014.

What does this mean for you, as a student?

CACREP programs:

  • Provide quality education that meets or exceeds national standards
  • Focus mainly on professional counseling to prepare students for entry into professional practice
  • Help to ensure higher performance on the National Counselor's Examination for Licensure and Certification (NCE)
  • Simplify the licensure application process
