Leadership Honor Society
Requirements
- Students must attend and/or watch 12 hours for leadership sessions.
- These sessions are mostly held online via zoom to make it more accessible. Students are able to receive this information on our engagement platform called Mighty Networks.
- Students must complete 8 hours of service-related events
- Maintain a 2.85 GPA
- Students must have attended specialized training. (Title IX, Safe Zone).

Collaborations
The NJCU Leadership Honor Society has partnered with the On PACE For STEM Success Grant to help STEM majors enhance their leadership skills and professional development.
On PACE For STEM Success is a grant funded program that includes personal, academic and career enhancement (PACE), seamless transfer pathways, and work-based learning experiences. The project’s goal is to improve the enrollment, persistence, graduation, and postsecondary success of Hispanic and low-income STEM students at NJCU.
The NJCU Leadership Honor Society is a comprehensive program seeking to provide students with leadership development, training, education and community engagement.
Jointly, the collaboration will allow students to gain the soft and hard skills needed to succeed at NJCU and beyond. The partnership will offer digital badges as credentials to demonstrate the learned experiences gained through workshops, training and other development-based sessions.
Student Incentives include:

- Access to exclusive online community
- Exclusive Center for Leadership & Engagement Merchandise

TRiO Learning Community (TLC) Program
The NJCU Leadership Honor Society has partnered with the TRiO Learning Community Program to help TLC students enhance their leadership skills and professional development.
The TRiO Learning Community (TLC) Program, a federal Student Support Services Program at Â鶹´«Ã½, is funded by the United States Department of Education and Â鶹´«Ã½. This program is designed to provide support services to low-income, first-generation students and/or students with disabilities.
Our mission is to:
- Inspire students to believe that they can achieve academic success
- Develop their Desire to obtain the necessary skills, knowledge, and acumen to complete a post-secondary education
- Support students with necessary services in order for them to Persist until graduation
TLC participants graduate as polished and knowledgeable professionals ready to continue on to graduate school or as global citizens ready to conquer the competitive work force.
