Monthly Payment Plans
NJCU Offers Monthly Tuition Payment Plan Options on GothicNet.
All plans are semester based and require a $37 set-up fee to participate. Students must enroll in the plan prior to the posted payment deadline for semester. Enrollment in the plan can be done either in person or online through GothicNet. The terms of the monthly payment plan are as follows:
- NJCU offers different payment plans based on when a student registers and when tuition is due. Students who register during priority registration can choose a four or five-month plan. For the five-month plan, the first payment is due on July 15th for Fall and December 15th for Spring, with payments due on the 15th of each following month. The first payment and a $37 enrollment fee are due at enrollment. The four-month plan starts on August 15th for Fall and January 15th for Spring.
- Students who register after August 15th for Fall or January 15th for Spring can join the three-month payment plan. The first payment and enrollment are due before the first day of class each semester.
- The University does not send paper statements. Billing reminders are emailed to the student's NJCU email address only. Students are responsible for making monthly payments by the 15th of each month. Payment plan details and upcoming due dates are available on the Payment Plan tab in GothicNet's View Bill/Make Payment section.
- Student account balances for payment plans are adjusted to reflect pending financial aid in GothicNet. If additional charges or changes to financial aid occur, the plan amount will increase. Students will be notified via their NJCU email about any changes and the resulting increase in monthly payments. Students are responsible for these changes to their payment plans.
- Past due balances may not be included as part of the payment plan. These balances must be paid in full to the University prior to enrolling in a plan.
- Plan participants can choose to have their monthly payments automatically withdrawn from their checking or savings account by selecting this option on GothicNet. Keep in mind that additional charges or changes to financial aid will automatically increase the monthly payments.
- A $75 late fee will be charged for each late payment. If two payments are missed in a row and the account is not brought up to date with the next payment, the University will cancel the payment plan. Students will be notified of the cancellation, and full payment will be due immediately. Repeated cancellations for non-payment may make students ineligible for the plan in the future.
